Disclosure Policy

This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. For questions about this blog, please contact Pat at AYorkshireCook dot com.

This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation.

This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content.

I also link to Amazon for products which I own and use.  If you use these links to buy products, the site will earn a small commission which helps to pay the expenses of running the site.

I am also sometimes compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. Even when I receives compensation for my posts or advertisements, I always give my honest opinion, findings, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.

This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.

Restaurant Review Policy

Occasionally I will feature a restaurant on this site. These are not true restaurant reviews. I don’t visit three times, I don’t take notes or wear a disguise.

I, or a member of my party, will have paid the going rate for the meal.  If ever I am lucky enough to be offered a free meal, I will declare it.

Generally speaking, I look for the positive in restaurants when I dine out.  I am there because I want to be and not to criticize.  If the experience is bad, I won’t write about it.  Any restaurant can have an off night!

I’m going back through the ‘eating out’ posts to add phone numbers so you can check that the restaurant or pub is still there.  Websites can linger unattended for many years, even when the creators have moved on.

Remember that businesses can change hands and also personnel so my comments only relate to the day I was there.
